Interview conducted by Margaret Cawood at the Confederate Air Force Oral History Center on 8 October 1988. Kirkpatrick talks about his experiences as a navigator in the U. S. Air Corps in the European Theater during World War II in 1942-5. He navigated B-26 aircraft for the 344th Bomb Group and was later assigned to the Pathfinder Squadron which led the bomber groups that bombed targets from above the clouds.
